STRANGE trimless 2.0 LED Recessed Spotlight
Product information
Wever & Ducré – STRANGE 2.0 LED Recessed Spotlight
The STRANGE 2.0 LED by Wever & Ducré is a trimless designer recessed spotlight with two separately movable LED light modules. For installation, a separate plaster frame is required, enabling a smooth transition to the ceiling and underlining the minimalist look.
Both luminaire heads can be tilted by up to 35° and rotated by up to 355°, allowing lighting accents to be set flexibly and precisely. Thanks to its low UGR value < 19, the luminaire also produces a particularly pleasant, glare-free light, perfectly suited for living spaces, offices or representative commercial areas.
For operation, two suitable LED drivers are required, as the luminaire must not be connected directly to 230 volts. With dimmable drivers, the brightness can be conveniently adjusted. You can also choose between different light colours to tailor the lighting individually to your rooms.

Frequently asked questions about Wever & Ducré 🖤
Who is Wever & Ducré?
Wever & Ducré is a Belgian manufacturer of modern designer and architectural lighting. Its collections combine clean shapes with precise lighting technology and are designed for high-quality residential, commercial and hospitality environments.
What makes Wever & Ducré luminaires special?
Wever & Ducré stands for minimalist design, high-quality craftsmanship and precise lighting effects. Many collections are available in different sizes, colours, colour temperatures and beam angles. This allows the luminaire to be tailored precisely to the room and the desired lighting atmosphere.
What is the difference between LED, PAR16, QT14 and MR16?
These terms describe the lighting technology or lamp socket used:
- LED – permanently integrated LED module. Depending on the luminaire, a separate driver may be required; suitable accessories can be found on the product page.
- PAR16 – for replaceable GU10 lamps operating at 230 V. The lamp is not included, allowing you to choose the colour temperature and – depending on the lamp – the dimming option yourself.
- QT14 – for replaceable G9 lamps operating at 230 V.
- MR16 – for 12 V lamps; a suitable driver is required.
You can find information about any additional accessories required on the respective product page.
What does “Dim to Warm” or 2000–3000 Kelvin mean?
With Dim to Warm, both the brightness and the colour temperature change when the light is dimmed: from approximately 3000 K at higher brightness to an especially warm 2000 K when dimmed. This creates a particularly cosy lighting atmosphere – ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms as well as hospitality and hotel environments.
Which colour temperature is suitable for my application?
As a general guide:
- 2700 K – warm and cosy; particularly suitable for living and lounge areas.
- 3000 K – slightly clearer; often a good choice for hallways, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Dim to Warm (2000–3000 K) – flexible for rooms where both functional and very warm, atmospheric lighting is desired, such as living rooms, bedrooms or bathrooms.
For many LED versions, you can select the colour temperature directly when choosing the product. PAR16/GU10 luminaires are supplied without a lamp, so the colour temperature is determined by the GU10 lamp you choose.
Are suitable accessories or spare parts available from Wever & Ducré?
Suitable drivers, lamps, mounting components and other accessories are available for many Wever & Ducré luminaires. If accessories are required or recommended for a product, you will usually find them directly on the product page. We are also happy to assist you personally with spare parts or older collections.
Can lightnox help me choose the right Wever & Ducré luminaire?
Yes. We are happy to help you with the selection and configuration of suitable Wever & Ducré luminaires – for example regarding colour temperature, beam angle, dimming options, variants and system compatibility. This makes it easier to choose the right version for your room and application.
