BOX 1.0 PAR16 – architectural lighting in a clear form
The BOX 1.0 PAR16 by Wever & Ducré combines a precise cubic form with high-quality workmanship and a deliberately calm lighting effect. As a compact architectural element, it integrates especially well into modern living, commercial and work spaces, giving the room a clear, refined and enduringly timeless character. At the same time, the replaceable GU10 light source keeps the luminaire flexible: light colour and lighting character can be selected to suit the room, the light source can be replaced easily, and with a suitable dimmable version the lighting mood can also be adjusted individually.
The highlights at a glance
- Architectural design language: The clear cubic shape creates a precise, modern accent and blends especially well into minimalist interiors.
- High-quality material impression: The solid aluminium housing and clean workmanship reflect the premium character typical of Wever & Ducré.
- Replaceable light source: The GU10 light source can be inserted, unscrewed and replaced later with ease.
- Flexible dimming: With a suitable dimmable light source, the lighting mood can be adjusted from functional to atmospheric.
- Pleasant lighting effect: The controlled light distribution creates a calm, low-glare impression and is well suited to demanding living and work areas.
- Long-term flexibility: The freedom to choose the light source means the luminaire can still be adapted later if your preferred light colour or lighting effect changes.
Conclusion
The BOX 1.0 PAR16 is more than a compact ceiling light: it is a clearly designed architectural element with a premium lighting effect. For anyone who values precise design, durable material quality and the flexibility of a replaceable light source, it offers a refined solution that remains visually restrained while still noticeably enhancing the room.

Frequently asked questions about Wever & Ducré 🖤
Who is Wever & Ducré?
Wever & Ducré is a Belgian manufacturer of modern designer and architectural lighting. Its collections combine clean shapes with precise lighting technology and are designed for high-quality residential, commercial and hospitality environments.
What makes Wever & Ducré luminaires special?
Wever & Ducré stands for minimalist design, high-quality craftsmanship and precise lighting effects. Many collections are available in different sizes, colours, colour temperatures and beam angles. This allows the luminaire to be tailored precisely to the room and the desired lighting atmosphere.
What is the difference between LED, PAR16, QT14 and MR16?
These terms describe the lighting technology or lamp socket used:
- LED – permanently integrated LED module. Depending on the luminaire, a separate driver may be required; suitable accessories can be found on the product page.
- PAR16 – for replaceable GU10 lamps operating at 230 V. The lamp is not included, allowing you to choose the colour temperature and – depending on the lamp – the dimming option yourself.
- QT14 – for replaceable G9 lamps operating at 230 V.
- MR16 – for 12 V lamps; a suitable driver is required.
You can find information about any additional accessories required on the respective product page.
What does “Dim to Warm” or 2000–3000 Kelvin mean?
With Dim to Warm, both the brightness and the colour temperature change when the light is dimmed: from approximately 3000 K at higher brightness to an especially warm 2000 K when dimmed. This creates a particularly cosy lighting atmosphere – ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms as well as hospitality and hotel environments.
Which colour temperature is suitable for my application?
As a general guide:
- 2700 K – warm and cosy; particularly suitable for living and lounge areas.
- 3000 K – slightly clearer; often a good choice for hallways, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Dim to Warm (2000–3000 K) – flexible for rooms where both functional and very warm, atmospheric lighting is desired, such as living rooms, bedrooms or bathrooms.
For many LED versions, you can select the colour temperature directly when choosing the product. PAR16/GU10 luminaires are supplied without a lamp, so the colour temperature is determined by the GU10 lamp you choose.
Are suitable accessories or spare parts available from Wever & Ducré?
Suitable drivers, lamps, mounting components and other accessories are available for many Wever & Ducré luminaires. If accessories are required or recommended for a product, you will usually find them directly on the product page. We are also happy to assist you personally with spare parts or older collections.
Can lightnox help me choose the right Wever & Ducré luminaire?
Yes. We are happy to help you with the selection and configuration of suitable Wever & Ducré luminaires – for example regarding colour temperature, beam angle, dimming options, variants and system compatibility. This makes it easier to choose the right version for your room and application.
