The Oris 0.8 by Wever & Ducré is an ultra-compact recessed wall light with a flush light outlet, designed for finely controlled, indirect light in minimalist architecture. The luminaire has a permanently integrated, long-lasting LED module with high light quality. Operation requires an external LED driver (350 mA or 700 mA). The driver is not included, but can be ordered directly from the product page.→ Which driver is right?

• With 350 mA, the Oris 0.8 provides soft, glare-free light – ideal as orientation or night light.

For a flush, visually clean installation, the manufacturer recommends the Oris 0.8 plaster kit including recessed housing. This allows the luminaire to be integrated neatly into plasterboard or solid walls – without a visible frame or protrusion.

What is the difference between LED, PAR16, QT14 and MR16?
The designations indicate which lighting technology is used in the luminaire – and whether a separate power supply is required:
- LED → High-quality, permanently installed LED module with excellent light quality.
Recessed lights for walls and ceilings usually require a separate power supply – this can be found under “Recommended Accessories” on the product page.

PAR16 → For replaceable GU10 lamps that are connected directly to 230 V.
No separate power supply required.
- QT14 → For G9 lamps , also directly connected to 230 V.
No external power supply required.
- MR16 → For 12 V lamps that require a separate power supply .

What does "Dim to Warm" or 2000-3000 Kelvin mean?
When dimmed, luminaires with “Dim to Warm” technology not only change the brightness but also the color temperature – from warm white (3000 K) to a particularly cozy warm tone (2000 K).
This creates a homely atmosphere, as one would expect from classic
