The designations indicate which lighting technology is used in the luminaire – and whether a separate power supply is required:

• LED → High-quality, permanently installed LED module with excellent light quality.
  
  Recessed lights for walls and ceilings usually require a separate power supply – this can be found under “Recommended Accessories” on the product page.
  
• PAR16 → For replaceable GU10 lamps that are connected directly to 230 V.
  
  No separate power supply required.
